for the parishes of Crookhorn, Portsdown & Purbrook

 

An exciting opportunity to serve as administrator to three Churches in the Church of England.

  • The Church of the Good Shepherd, Crookhorn, is a thriving and friendly charismatic church passionate about serving its community.
  • Christ Church, Portsdown is a friendly, evangelical, parish church with a relaxed mix of contemporary and traditional worship.
  • St John’s, Purbrook, is a welcoming church which offers a traditional style of worship.

Between us we serve hundreds of families and individuals through a wide variety of services and programmes. The office holder serves as a key point of contact for a large number of people

Hours: 22.5 hours, worked over 5 days
Salary: £11,500 to £12,150 based on 22.5 hours
Closing date: 16 April 2022

Role: We are seeking a calm, reliable and efficient person with good IT skills to become our church administrator. Your role would be to ensure that the administrative activities of the 3 churches are undertaken effectively and in line with our vision and values, in order to facilitate our overall ministry. We are looking for someone with personal integrity, resilience and confidence who offers a warm welcome to all. You will possess good communication and inter-personal skills and be able to manage your time well and prioritise work, exercising appropriate initiative. You will have attained minimum GCSE grade 4 (or C) in English & Maths (or equivalent) and have experience in using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Experience in ChurchSuite, Canva, Affinity Publisher and MailChimp is desirable (although training may be given).
