Baptism (Christening)

We believe that children are a blessing and a gift from God so we are delighted to be able to share with you in thanking God for the precious gift of your child. At CoGS we have three different types of service available: Thanksgiving Ceremony, Service of Infant Baptism (or Christening) and adult full immersion Baptism.

If you are considering being baptised yourself or getting your children baptised, please contact the church office or fill in the form below.

Wedding

Wedding

We believe that marriage is one of the most important life changing commitments that couples can make. As a church we are keen to promote the institution of marriage and to support existing married couples within our community.

A church wedding is a public declaration of love and commitment made in God’s presence. If you are considering getting married at CoGS and would like your wedding to take place in church, please contact the church office as soon as possible to discuss dates, costs and any other questions you may have.

Funerals

If you are responsible for organising the funeral of a family member and you want the funeral to take place at CoGS or indeed if you would like one of our ministers to attend a crematorium service, the first thing you need to do is to contact one of the many excellent funeral directors in the area.

Your funeral director will be able to discuss every practical aspect of the funeral with you, and then contact the church to confirm available dates and the attendance of church ministers. Once those arrangements have been made, the minister who will be taking the funeral will get in touch with you to discuss the service, but if you have any questions at any point you are welcome to contact the church office.
